Michael Kirshner,  LPC

Michael Kirshner serves as Community Liaison Director for the Mental Health Cooperative.

Prior to coming to MHC, Kirshner held positions with Tennessee Christian Medical Center, Center for Behavioral Medicine, Psychiatric Management Resources, Tennessee State Department of Special Education, Dede Wallace Mental Health Center and the University of South Florida Psychiatric Hospital.  Additional clinical experiences include private psychotherapy practice, EAP, juvenile and adult corrections, in home counseling and school consultation/training.

Kirshner holds a bachelors degree in philosophy from the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL, a masters degree in counseling from Trevecca University, Nashville, TN and has completed two additional years of doctoral level work in School Psychology from Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN with emphasis on child psychopathology. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider in the State of Tennessee.
