Pamela J. Womack

Pamela J. Womack, Chief Executive Officer, has served in that role since the agency was founded in 1993.

Prior to joining MHC,  Womack was the Director of Community Services for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health for 14 years.  In that position, she was responsible for establishing targeted case management services state-wide, as well as the implementing mobile crisis services throughout Tennessee.

Womack has a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee.  She has dedicated her professional career to working with persons with severe and persistent mental illness.  Her passion is the belief that these individuals can live quality lives in the community with ongoing support and treatment.

In 2004, Womack was honored as the first recipient of the Eli Lilly’s Life Time Achievement Award for “Helping Move Lives Forward”.  This award recognized Womack’s career long dedication to helping consumers succeed in their battle with mental illness.
