Mental Health Cooperative Foundation
An investment in hope, innovation and change.
Mental Health Cooperative Foundation was established in 2009 to solely support the work of Mental Health Cooperative. Goals include providing financial assistance for programs and to help the organization deliver services cost effectively. In addition to securing donations, the Foundation is responsible for diligently investing funds and engaging the community in the recovery of clients at MHC.
Our aim, to advance the idea that an investment in clients is an investment in the community at large.
INVEST IN HOPE
MHCF is dedicated to a largely overlooked and underserved population that is greatly in need of care; namely, the indigent population. We present an open door of support which elsewhere has been closed for them. Through Foundation support, services do not simply impact the individual, but rather the greater community as a whole.
Through the outreach of care to the indigent population, individuals go on to live stable lives with a decrease in unhealthy behavior, homelessness and incarceration.
INVEST INNOVATION
It is our belief that true innovation means both improving lives and lessening financial burdens caused by illness. With the Foundation’s wise stewardship of resources, MHC
- Focuses on early intervention
- Greatly reduces the number of hospital admissions
- Removes the burden from psychiatric hospitals, emergency rooms and jails
- Access to psychiatric clinics and care.
These services and more combine into an innovative system of care that assists the community by decreasing the myriad of costs that confront the mentally ill population.
INVEST IN CHANGE
Change begins when one person becomes an advocate for another. We are faced with a unique challenge that can be positively impacted through advocates, board members, the community and you. Through fundraising efforts, a robust executive board, and strategic support, every individual counts; every individual can create positive change.
