Be An MHCF Holiday Hero!
BE AN MHCF HOLIDAY HERO!
It’s the holiday season and should be a joyous time for all, but for MHC clients who are suffering from severe mental illness or emotional disorders it can be particularly difficult. This is especially true for the adults we serve as they are typically forgotten or want to keep the focus on the children (grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc.) that are many times in their care.
Help a client in need during this holiday season! Help MHC clients whom have serious mental illnesses or emotional disorders and are at or below poverty level. These include,
• Adults who have limited or no housing
• Kids living in foster homes or with parents with substance abuse problems
• Single parents with 2-3 children
Items needed are:
• For adults: Basic items such as blankets scarves, gloves, hats, socks, and underwear
• Children: toys and clothes
If you don’t have time to shop, but would like to help, you can provide cash or gift cards and MHC case managers will shop for items appropriate to the client in need.
Items will be received from Tuesday, November 15 through Friday, December 16, 2011 at MHCF: 275 Cumberland Bend, Nashville, TN 37228, located in Metro Center. For more information, please contact Diane Zandstra 615.744.7549 or dzandstra@mhc-tn.org
