Crisis Care
The Mental Health Cooperative crisis team is the first line of response for adults (ages 18 and older) anywhere in Davidson County who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Services are focused on immediate assessment and subsequent appropriate treatment interventions with the goal of safety and resolving the crisis in the least intensive and intrusive community setting. When hospitalization is the most appropriate level of care, the crisis team acts as the mandatory pre-screener for evaluations to the Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute (MTMHI). The crisis team works with the client until a disposition of the acute crisis can be accomplished. Clients who are referred for less intensive and intrusive levels of care outside of the hospital setting receive a follow-up telephone support call from the crisis team to ensure appropriate resolution of the crisis.
If you are facing an emergency call 615-726-0125.
