Diversion Services
Staffed by mental health professionals, nurses and psychiatrists, MHC's Diversion Services serve as an early intervention to reduce hospital admissions and take the burden off psychiatric hospitals, emergency rooms and jails. Treatment and monitoring generally lasts between 12 and 72 hours.
Crisis Stabilization Unit
- A 15-bed secure facility in East Nashville
- Voluntary stay up to 72 hours - Average stay is 1.9 days
- Patients receive assessment, medication, counseling and group therapy
- Serves an average of 125 clients per month
- 97% of CSU clients are able to be discharged to a lower level of community care
- Transportation to the facility will be arranged for people who live in the following counties: Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson counties.
- People outside these counties can seek treatment at the center, but must provide their own transportation. Those in crisis can call the Mental Health Cooperative's crisis line at 615- 726-0125.

Intensive Intervention Center
- offers crisis resolution and treatment monitoring for up to 72 hours for individuals who may otherwise go to the hospital
- 8-bed secure facility for men and women with 24/7 staff assistance
- Average stay is 34 hours
- Focus on medication monitoring and management, group therapies, and crisis intervention plans
- Psychiatrist sees the clients within 24 hours and daily within care
- Serves an average of 70 clients a month
- 95% of IIC clients are able to be discharged to a lower level of community care

Crisis Resolution Center
offers crisis resolution and treatment monitoring for up to 12 hours for individuals who may otherwise go to the hospital.
- Staffed by RN or LPN and a resident counselor
- Average stay is 7.93 hours
- Serves an average of 152 clients per month
- Provide a safe, supportive environment for the individual as he/she resolves the immediate crisis.
- 97% of CRC clients are able to be discharged to a lower level of community care
